Unmanned Airborne Surveillance for Homeland Security

When:  Aug 31, 2016 from 15:00 to 16:00 (ET)

The usefulness of UAVs in combat situations is well established and has been the subject of innumerable reports and speeches, however the homeland security applications have received far less attention. Drones are used for patrolling borders, law enforcement and widescale investigations. The ability of drones to quickly reach hazardous areas, without the risk to human lives and excessive expenses, makes them a preferable choice to traditional manned aircraft or ground vehicles.

This webinar will provide an overview of the homeland security and law enforcement duties already undertaken by unmanned aircraft and will shed light on opportunities to further increase the efficacy of the men and women tasked with keeping us safe.

Discussion topics will include:

  • Homeland security/law enforcement experiences with drones
  • Challenges facing wider spread deployment of drones for homeland security
  • Commercial perspectives on building drones for homeland security missions
